1. Download and Installation

1.1. Downloading MYNGA

  • Android: Go to Play Store, then tap Menu  My apps & games. Tap UPDATE next to MYNGA.
    • Alternatively, go to Play Store and search for MYNGA. Tap UPDATE under MYNGA.
  • iPhone: Go to App Store, then tap Updates. Tap UPDATE next to MYNGA.
    • Alternatively, go to App Store and search for MYNGA. Tap UPDATE next to MYNGA.

We encourage you to always use the latest version of MYNGA. Latest versions contain the newest features and bug fixes.

1.2. Supported Devices

  • We support all Android phones that meet the following requirements:
    • Your Android phone is running Android 2.3.3 or later.
    • Your iPhone is running IOS 8 or later.
    • Your Android/iPhone is able to receive Text Message during the verification process.

    You will also need a data plan in order to receive messages when outside the range of a Wi-Fi network.

    We only provide limited support to tablet users at this time.

2. Verifying your Phone Number

2.1. Requirements

  • You can only verify a phone number your own.
  • You must be able to receive Text Message to the phone number you are trying to verify.
  • You must have a working Internet connection through mobile data or Wi-Fi. If you are roaming or have a bad connection, verification may not work. Try opening on your phone’s Internet browser to see if you are connected to the Internet


2.2. How to verify

  1. Enter your phone number:
  • Choose your country code from the drop-down list.
  • Enter your phone number in the box on the right. Don’t put any 0 before your phone number.
  1. Tap Next to request a code.
  2. Enter the 4-digit code you receive via Text Message.

2.3. If you didn't receive the 4-digit code by Text Message

  • Wait for the progress bar to finish and retry. The wait may take few minutes. 
  • Don’t guess the code, or you will be locked out for a period of time.
  • If the timer runs out before you receive the code, an option will appear to request another code. A new code will be sent again.

Note: Depending on your carrier, you may incur charges for Text Message.

2.4. Troubleshooting steps

If you are having issues verifying, please try the following:

  1. Reboot your phone (To reboot your phone, turn it off, wait for 30 seconds, and turn it back on).
  2. Delete and reinstall the latest version of MYNGA.
  3. Send a test Text Message from any phone to your own phone number exactly as you entered it in MYNGA, including the country code, to check your reception.

2.5. We can't send your code via any other method due to security reasons.

3. Two-Step Verification

Two-Step Verification

Besides your phone number, an Email address is required during the registration process.

Therefore, it is important to make sure you have access to your email account Before entering your email.

This email account will be used to gain access to your account in case of phone lost or damage.

4. Managing your Profile

4.1. Who can see my profile?

You can either set your profile as “Private” or “Public”.

  • Public profile: Your profile is visible to anyone.
  • Private: Your profile is only visible only to your connections and premium account owners.

4.2. Modify your Profile

Go to MYNGA > My Profile
From there, you can edit your profile photo, your experience, your education, your tools or provide a brief description of yourself.

4.3. Updating your Profile Photo

  1. Go to MYNGA > My Profile 
  2. Tap the edit profile icon on the upper right corner.
  3. Tap your profile photo > Camera icon.
  4. You can choose a photo from your gallery, take a new photo with your camera or remove your current photo.

4.4. Updating your Profile Description?

  1. Go to MYNGA > My Profile> About Me
  2. Tap the edit icon in the right side of the “About Me” section.
  3. You can add a new description, modify or remove your current description.
5. Managing my Groups

5.1. Group Administration

Any group must have a group administrator (admin) in order to exist.

The group admin could:

  • Add new member
  • Accept or reject request to join from MYNGA user.
  • Set the group as private or public
  • Delete the group
  • Chose a co-administrator for the group

5.2. Group creation

  1. Go to MYNGA >Groups
  2. Tap on the plus button  on the upper right corner.
  3. Enter the name of the future group in the text field.
  4. Select the connections you want to add to the group. These connections will receive an invite to join the group, which they could accept or decline.
  5. On the group setting window, slide the Private Group switcher  from left to right to make the group private.

5.3. Join a Group

Access the group tab by tapping on the Groups icon. 

  1. Scroll through the list of available groups.
  2. Tap on the Join button to join the chosen group.

Note: The group admin will grant or decline your access request to the group.

5.4. Exit from a Group

  1. Go to MYNGA >Groups 
  2. Chose the group you want to exit from by tapping on the group icon.
  3. Tap on the setting icon.
  4. On the group setting window, tap on Exit Group. A pop-pup message will display asking for confirmation.

5.5. Group privacy

  1. The group can be either Private or Public.

    By default, groups are public.

    • Public groups are visible to any user on MYNGA.
    • Private groups are only visible to members and people who have received invitation to join.

5.6. Setting a Group as Private

  1. Go to MYNGA >Groups 
  2. Chose the group you want to administer by tapping on the group icon.
  3. Tap on the setting icon.
  4. On the group setting window, slide the Private Group switcher from left to right to make the group private.

Use the same procedure to set the group back from private to public by sliding the Private Group switcher from right to left.
